Anita Toy
Executive Director
Anita Toy is an experienced community investment professional with extensive experience working in domestic and international philanthropy. She spent over a decade in corporate before transitioning to the not-for-profit sector. She joined Give2Asia (USA) in 2017 as a Country Advisor connecting international donors and philanthropists to charitable causes in Australia and New Zealand.
Anita is the inaugural Executive Director of Myriad Australia (formerly known as Give2Asia Australia), the current Steering Committee Chair of Myriad, the Alliance for borderless giving - dedicated to unlocking the full potential of international philanthropy and Steering Committee Chair of the Asia Pacific Giving Network.
Karan Anand
Board Director
Karan is the Chief Strategy Officer & Managing Director for Australia at Hnry and in this role he manages Hnry's overall strategic direction and brand, customer relationships, partnerships and team in the Australian market. Hnry is an all-in-one accounting service that takes care of all the financial admin for the self-employed. As Australasia's fastest-growing tax agency, Hnry helps thousands of individuals to focus on doing what they do best, without having to worry about the burden of financial admin.
Prior to working at Hnry, Karan worked in Management Consulting for 13 years, with a focus on providing strategy advice to clients in the Financial Services industry.
In 2012 Karan co-founded the Young Sikh Professionals Network (YSPN), an organisation he led until September 2017. YSPN was formed to mobilise the first generation of Australian Sikh professionals to build their professional capacity.
Finally, he led the Steering Committee of the Australia-India Youth Dialogue (AIYD) in 2018-19. The AIYD is the pre-eminent track-two dialogue between Australia and India, and each year brings together 30 young leaders to discuss matters important to the Australia-India relationship.
Karan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Finance with Distinction from the University of New South Wales, where he was the Goldman Sachs Award Winner.
Jonathan Duddles
Board Chair
Jonathan has over 30 years’ leadership experience in the conservation, climate change, international development, arts and community sectors, including leadership positions in governance, strategy, philanthropy and business development. Jonathan is Director of Development - International at the Great Barrier Reef Foundation leading a global capital campaign to protect and restore coral reefs across the Asia Pacific region. Jonathan was previously CEO of Greening Australia in Tasmania and Victoria.
Jonathan is a Winston Churchill Fellow and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Jonathan holds a Degree in Engineering with Post Graduate qualifications in Development Studies and Environmental Studies.
Abhilash Mudaliar
Board Director
Abhilash Mudaliar has close to 20 years experience in international development, philanthropy, social enterprise and impact investing. He was previously the Chief Impact Officer at Paul Ramsay Foundation and has previously worked with the World Bank, the Global Impact Investing Network and Unitus Group. Abhilash also serves on various nonprofit boards. He has completed degrees in Commerce and Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Masters in International Development from Harvard University.
Birger Stamperdahl
Board Director
Birger Stamperdahl joined Give2Asia (USA) in 2006 and has served as its President & CEO since 2014. Birger works directly with donors, foundations, and corporations seeking to build strategic charitable partnerships across the Asia-Pacific. As a leading advocate for locally-led philanthropy, Birger has spoken to audiences at Stanford PACS, the World Affairs Council, the Council on Foundations, the Asia Venture Philanthropy Network, and the Conference Board.
Prior to joining Give2Asia, Birger had a successful PR career in Silicon Valley. As a Vice President at Porter Novelli, a global marketing and communications firm, he advised such clients as HP, EMC, McAfee, and BMC. Birger holds degrees in Journalism and Political Science from the University of New Hampshire.
